Persian Meels

Price range: $239.00 through $699.00

Persian Meels take your joints through wide, circular arcs — training the shoulders, elbows and wrists the way they’re actually meant to move.

Unlike straight-line lifting, this develops strength, mobility and control together, not separately.

If you want shoulders that don’t just look strong but feel strong and hold up over time… this is the tool.

What Are Persian Meels?

Persian Meels (sometimes spelled meel or mil) are traditional training tools originating from Iran. They were used in the Zurkhaneh — meaning “House of Strength” — as part of the ancient Pahlavani training system.

They’re swung in controlled circular patterns to develop:

✔️ Shoulder strength and joint stability
✔️ Grip and forearm endurance
✔️ Rotational core strength
✔️ Healthier, more resilient joints
✔️ Conditioning and work capacity
✔️ Coordination across the entire body

Why Train With Persian Meels?

Most gym training breaks the body into isolated parts. Persian Meels do the opposite… they train the shoulder system as a whole. Your shoulder isn’t built for rigid, straight-line movement. It’s a ball-and-socket joint designed for fluid, circular motion. Meel training develops that natural function — teaching your shoulders, arms and upper back to move together while controlling momentum through large rotational arcs. Very few tools load the body like this. Clubs, maces and meels are some of the only implements that truly train rotation under load.

Key Benefits

→ Build strength and mobility at the same time
→ Reinforce elbows and wrists through rotation
→ Develop serious grip strength without isolation work
→ Strengthen the core by resisting rotational forces
→ Improve coordination, rhythm and control
→ Enhance posture through upper-back activation

Weight Guide

Starting recommendations:
→ Women: 2kg per club
→ Men: 4kg per club

Design Details

Matched Pair: Each set is supplied as a balanced pair, designed to feel even in both hands.

Weight Tolerance = +5%: Because bamboo is a natural material, slight variation can occur. We keep all clubs within a +5% range and intentionally bias them slightly heavier rather than lighter.

Example: A 4kg club may come in closer to 4.1-4.2kg rather than underweight.
